On the White House blog page, a great many facts, figures, summaries, and links have been collected together for everyone’s easy access. You can check it out by clicking on the Related Links area at the bottom of this article. This page will give you information on the medical facts regarding the Ebola virus, so that you are not misled by rumors and misunderstandings. The Web page also describes the state of the virus outbreak overseas and the facts about the few places where the disease has been identified in the United States. The page also explains what our nation’s Center for Disease Control (CDC) is doing about the disease and research being undertaken on how to cure Ebola and prevent its spread.
The president also thanked the health care workers who have been working tirelessly to help those patients in the United States who have been diagnosed with Ebola. The president’s main message is one of hope and to not give into uninformed fear.
Also earlier this week, the president took one of several opportunities to speak about the work being done in west Africa to reach out and help people affected by this disease.
