Archaeological excavations in Odense. The area is dating back to the Danish Vikings. The city has decided to restructure a broad road to gather the center which the road previously split in two halves. It provides a welcome opportunity for archaeologists to see the story about 1000 years back in time when the first deposits indicates people and city on the spot and since then layer after layer has been added by time and appear in the vertical incision down to the deposits from the Ice Age. Archaeologists marks the findings for registration. Odense City Museums is in charge of excavations and surveys.
